club went on tour to 7 different villages during August and
it was very successful and well attended. If you attended

Sports & Fitness Festival 2011
Okehampton Sports & Fitness Festival had record number
of over 1,900 participants this year. Through it diverse range
of have-a-go-sessions and competitions it offered over 45
events from Football to Sailing, Walking to Skateboarding,
Basketball to Water Polo, Golf to Bushcraft.

Rugby Girls Grab Gold at the Games
On Saturday 18th June over 100 young sportspeople and coaches
from West Devon travelled to Exeter University to represent
the area at The Devon Games to Inspire 2011. Blessed for the
majority of the event with dry weather and with a large, enthusiastic
crowd behind them the West Devon Team managed a 6th place
finish overall, with Exeter crowned the eventual champions
on their home patch.

walking, extreme sports and any other activities that people
of all ages would like to develop in their local communities.
This might include kick starting new sports sessions, promoting
existing activities, support with training or providing equipment.

The Okehampton Sports and Fitness Festival celebrated
its tenth year with more than 40 different sports and activities.
Around 1,400 people participated throughout the week with
